Eight Characteristics of Rotary Lime Kiln

Main Technical Characteristics:

First: The kiln tail is equipped with a vertical preheater which can conduct the waste heat of the flue gas directly to the limestone. Then the flue gas temperature can fall below 235 ℃. This equipment recycles the heat taken away by emissions effectively, meanwhile lessens the load for the subsequent dedusting.

Second: The long diameter length of rotary kiln reduces to 14 ~ 15 from the traditionally 20. The shortening of the length not only decreases the heat loss from the rotary kiln surface, but also reduces the floor area of the equipment.

Third: The discharging cooling equipment adopts vertical cooler instead of the original cooling tube, avoiding the sensible heat loss of quicklime. The hot lime falling from the kiln head cools down by accomplishing heat transfer with the secondary air blew. The air heats up temperature after absorbing heat and then enters the rotary kiln to support combustion.

Fourth: The cooler and kiln head adopts a integratively vertical design, good sealing, covering an small area and avoiding fugitive emissions of waste gas.

Fifth: The combustion-supporting air is divided into primary air and secondary air. The former is directly involved in burning and the latter is for cooling. The primary air and secondary air are supplied respectively by separate fans. The secondary air, as combustion-supporting air, can heats up to 600 ℃, saving fuel energy.

Sixth: Using dedicated combustion system to heat the rotary kiln. Besides coal, it can also take separate low-heat-value gas as fuel, or various fuels used at the same time. The calcination temperature can be adjusted by regulating the air and gas flow.

Seventh: The environmental protection measures. The calcination exhaust employs pulse-type dust collector bags to remove dust, meeting the national standard on discharging.

Eighth: High automation level. The adjustment, command and alarm of the calcination system are controlled by the master control room through PLC, together with image display of all the controlled points and interlocking control, which can automatically record the operating parameters in the production process, and free to be printed at any time.
